What to expect
Of course we would love enthusiastic crew to join us! What to expect depends on the trip you have chosen. Trips can be divided in two categories:
- Ocean crossings
- Coastal/island hopping
As you might expect, ocean crossings involve a lot of non-stop sailing. In general, we will be sailing over 60% of the time. The Coastal/island hopping trips will contain on average about 40% sailing days and exist of some non-stop sections of a few days. The rest of the days will be day trips and more relaxed. We will try to anchor as much as possible at night and where necessary go to harbors.
While sailing, we will be working in shifts and you will also be responsible for your share of those shifts. Don’t be worried though, your main task will be to look around and warn the captain when something happens. We are not expecting you to be a pro sailor.
Apart from sailing, the crew will of course share all the cleaning, cooking and other day to day tasks.
When not sailing, there is all the time of the world for the other good things in life. We are quite flexible in where we are going and what we are doing. Think of snorkeling, exploring beautiful beaches, hiking, tasting culture or whatever you would like to do. If you want to make the most of you trip, make sure you read your guidebook at home, so you know what places you want to visit and what you want to do.
Conditions for joining
Unfortunately this adventure is not without any risk. Of course we have taken all the important measures to keep everyone safe, but accidents can happen. We cannot take responsibility for your safety and we therefore ask you to sign a small form stating that you accept the risk of sailing with us. If you have any questions regarding safety on board, please contact us!
We are sailing and wind is somewhat unpredictable. Furthermore, damage to the boat can lead to delays if they require immediate repairs. Although we have added many extra days to each trip to accommodate unexpected problems, we cannot guarantee that we will be everywhere on time. Of course we realize this is difficult when flights need to be booked well in advance. We therefore strongly recommend you to include a cancellation insurance. Specifically for the way back, a flexible ticket might be beneficial. If you need any help planning your trip, don’t be afraid to contact us!

To keep our adventure affordable we ask everyone who partakes in our trip for a small contribution that will go towards maintenance of the boat. Of course we don’t want this to stop you from joining us. Therefore we have set two prices:

- 10 euros per day for those with limited funds
We trust you to decide what group you belong to.
The daily price covers your stay on board and harbor charges for the transfer days between trips. All other costs for food, harbor stays, customs fees and activities are split between the crew of each trip. How much this is depends on the location of course, but also on what you want to eat and whether you want to stay in harbors or not.
